This week we had a special guest Author come to visit! Thank you to author/illustrator "amazing" Greg Pizzoli, for visiting and sharing his books "Lucky Duck" and "The Watermelon Seed" with our K-2 students!

Mrs. Klebans class kicked off Read Across America Week with their first Mystery Reader: Ms. Richards!



On Friday, members of the Abington Boys and Girls basketball teams visited Roslyn Elementary to launch Roslyn’s i-Ready March Madness competition. Throughout March, each class will vie for the championship by completing and passing lessons. Students aim to win the championship trophy by the end of the month.

REMINDER: The Abington School District team of home and school visitors is partnering with High Focus Treatment Centers to bring a Health & Wellness Fair to the Abington School District. This event will run in conjunction with the annual College and Career Fair hosted by the Abington Senior High School Counseling Department on Thursday, March 7, starting at 6 p.m. The Health & Wellness Fair portion will be housed in the library and is open to all ASD families. One of Mrs. Kleban's first graders had a blast working in her REC PAC from explorations! She created a gorilla cage using legos, string, and popsicle sticks! The cage door even opened and shut with a pulley!



Ms. Shore and Mrs. Oman's classes participated in an African-American Read-In to celebrate Black History Month.











Roslyn's Sunshine Committee assembled Helpful Bags to donate to local charities. Thank you to our wonderful Roslyn Community for all of your generous donations!!!

Yesterday was National Crossing Guard Appreciation Day! Roslyn Elementary School celebrated with a handmade thank you card for keeping the students safe, which was signed by all of the school's walkers. #ASDProud
