Happy Principal Appreciation Day! Today, we extend our gratitude to our incredible leader, Mr. Oldham, for his unwavering dedication to McKinley Elementary. Mr. Oldham exemplifies true leadership, demonstrating his genuine care for our school community every day. From his warm greetings to his tireless efforts to enhance our school's environment, Mr. Oldham's passion and school spirit inspire us all. Thank you, Mr. Oldham, for your exceptional commitment to McKinley Elementary—we are truly grateful for everything you do!

Our Vibe and Imagine Club collaborated with the Philadelphia Zoo and participated in the Unless Contest, a project-based learning experience that inspires real-world action to save endangered animals. We have been selected as a finalist in the contest with over 400 participating students from over 40 schools. Our School can still help by sending in their cling plastic for the bins in our lobby. We are hoping to recycle over 1,000 lbs to help save endangered animals. We will use the plastic to turn into a bench for our school. We will be collecting until June 7th.

A member of the Phillies grounds crew visited McKinley Elementary School to teach students about the sod and soil used at Citizen’s Bank Park. Students had the opportunity to plant their own sod to take home and grow. Our third graders will be visiting Citizen’s Bank Park in May to see the field in person.

Way to go McKinley for reaching our Race for Education fundraising goal! The students definitely had fun watching the reward, but I don't know about Mr. Oldham!

We are grateful to receive more than $9,500 from @Giant as part of the 2024 #FeedingSchoolKids initiative! Every dollar contributed by local Giant shoppers will be used by our Student Services Department to purchase grocery giftcards for our families in need. #EliminatingHunger

Proud McKinley moment! Job well done to all of our students who participated in Reading Olympics!
