UPDATE: The Board of School Directors took a key step forward in its planning process for the future of Abington Middle School. After reviewing community survey results and assessing research and independent analysis, the Board expressed a desire to pursue a plan to build one new middle school on the current campus. The District will now prepare a resolution to fund this project through a referendum, which would be voted on by Abington Township and Borough of Rockledge residents. The Board will review and vote on this resolution at the January 28 meeting of the Board of School Directors. Royal Court Meet & Greet 2025....Come and meet your favorite Royal Characters at Abington Senior High School on January 25, 2025 beginning promptly at 10 AM and concluding at the strike of 12 PM. Dr. Fecher is continuing his TableTalks in the 2024-2025 school year by joining PTO/PTA meetings across the District. Last night, he talked with parents and guardians at McKinley Elementary School to listen to their feedback in a small group setting. #ASDProud
Now through March 31, everyone who shops at the GIANT on Susquehanna Road in Roslyn will be invited to “round up” at the register and donate the round-up amount of their bill to support Feeding School Kids. Customers can also give by converting their CHOICE Rewards Points to donations in the GIANT app, or by purchasing a reusable bag.
At the end of March, all round-up donations will be tallied and donated to Abington School District. Donations have been used by the Student Services Department to purchase GIANT gift cards that are distributed by our social workers directly to our families in need in order to help supplement the cost of their groceries.
Thank you to GIANT and our local families for feeding families in our community!

McKinley's Dragon Ambassadors made Holiday cards for local Veterans. The students wanted to spread joy and appreciation towards veterans during the holiday season!

Dragon Ambassadors organized a Thanksgiving Food Drive to support the Jenkintown Food Cupboard, successfully collecting 147 pounds of food for those in need.

Best Buddies " Snow Much Fun" event! Create Snowflakes & Winter Crafts on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 8:15 am - 8:45 am.
McKinley Best Buddies' second event was a success! Students and staff participated enthusiastically in the fall activity. The event helped build excitement and camaraderie among the participants, making it a memorable and positive experience for everyone involved.
McKinley Duo Spirit Day was a success, with students and staff coming together to show school spirit.
Ms. Guglielmelli’s Third Grade Class celebrated American Education Week today. The students and their families created Thankful Turkeys. The students wrote creative stories about their pet turkey. They read their favorite stories too. It was a wonderful celebration in 3rd Grade!

There are three ways to claim your student's missing item from our Lost & Found!
1) Check out our NEW virtual Lost & Found https://photos.app.goo.gl/rByCD2d4WYavaXjL9.
2) Remind your student to go to the Lost & Found during school to claim their item.
3) Parents/Guardians can go to the Lost & Found in the school's vestibule during school hours.
Please remember to label your student's belongings! Lost & Found items that are labeled are delivered to students.
At the end of each month items that are not labeled or claimed will be donated. Thank you!
