Dragon Ambassadors organized a Thanksgiving Food Drive to support the Jenkintown Food Cupboard, successfully collecting 147 pounds of food for those in need.
The McKinley Dragon Ambassadors are hosting a Winter Break Spirit Week from December 16 to December 20. The event invites the whole school to participate in fun activities to celebrate the upcoming break. Winter is coming! Inclement weather procedures for the 2024-2025 school year have been emailed to parents/guardians and teachers and staff. Please familiarize yourself with our plans in the event weather conditions warrant an early dismissal, late arrival or school closure.
Best Buddies " Snow Much Fun" event! Create Snowflakes & Winter Crafts on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 8:15 am - 8:45 am.
McKinley Best Buddies' second event was a success! Students and staff participated enthusiastically in the fall activity. The event helped build excitement and camaraderie among the participants, making it a memorable and positive experience for everyone involved.
McKinley Duo Spirit Day was a success, with students and staff coming together to show school spirit.
Ms. Guglielmelli’s Third Grade Class celebrated American Education Week today. The students and their families created Thankful Turkeys. The students wrote creative stories about their pet turkey. They read their favorite stories too. It was a wonderful celebration in 3rd Grade!

McKinley Elementary School opened its 2012 time capsule last week, an event that takes place every 12 years, coinciding with the graduation of the students who originally buried it. Current K-5 students also had the special opportunity to contribute new items to the time capusle, which will be opened in 2036 when the current kindergarteners are high school seniors! #ASDProud
McKinley's Lost & Found
There are three ways to claim your student's missing item from our Lost & Found!
1) Check out our NEW virtual Lost & Found https://photos.app.goo.gl/rByCD2d4WYavaXjL9.
2) Remind your student to go to the Lost & Found during school to claim their item.
3) Parents/Guardians can go to the Lost & Found in the school's vestibule during school hours.
Please remember to label your student's belongings! Lost & Found items that are labeled are delivered to students.
At the end of each month items that are not labeled or claimed will be donated. Thank you!
Ms. Guglielmelli's 3rd Grade Class met with their First Grade Buddies in Ms. ONeill's Class. The students had a wonderful time making a seasonal craft and reading their favorite books. It was a great time at McKinley School!

Honoring our heroes at the Veterans Day Celebration in Rockledge! 🎖️🇺🇸 Rockledge hosted a heartfelt event with local veterans, residents, and friends, bringing together Army, Navy, Air Force, USMC, and PA National Guard veterans. One of the evening’s most touching moments was when a talented group of students from McKinley Elementary presented hand-made cards to the veterans. A truly special evening of gratitude and community.

McKinley students enjoyed picking pumpkins in the courtyard and decorating them with their peers. This wonderful activity provided a relaxed environment for building relationships and improving social confidence while enjoying a seasonal tradition.
