Students from the Abington Middle School Chorus participated in the ACDA Vocal Thunder Festival at Pennsbury High School on November 21, 2025.
Vocal Thunder is a festival choir for low voices. Students prepared 5 songs and worked with conductor Barbara Retsko and students from all over the area to produce a wonderful concert for the community. A great day of music making was had by all!

Students who met the SRK behavior requirements for term one were invited to attend a session of SRK bingo for some great prizes like gift cards, spirit wear, electronics, and candy. Thank you to the parent volunteers and PTO donations of prizes that made this event possible!! Another event will be held after term 2 and we hope all students can attend!!

The Abington Senior High School Boys Soccer Team stopped by the middle school Friday morning during their Championship Walk across the district. Mrs. Ambrose’s class helped celebrate the state champions by creating congratulatory signs to cheer on the team as they passed through!










Thank you to everyone who contributed to our districtwide food drives over the month of November! Recipients included food pantries in our area, in addition to food going directly to ASD families. At Abington Middle School, Student Council members sorted and packaged more than 71 boxes that social workers brought to students' homes! #ASDProud #ASDServiceLearning



Since the entire Abington School District community couldn't make it out to Manchester for last week's state championship soccer game, the ASHS Boys Varsity Soccer team brought the celebration to our schools today! The players and coaches went on a victory tour around the district, visiting all seven elementary schools and the Middle School, where they had an opportunity to high-five their fans and sign autographs for the younger students. #ASDProud

Today is Education Support Professionals Day, part of our annual observance of American Education Week! Thank you to our ASD support staff who keep our schools running smoothly each day, including, but not limited to, paraprofessionals and hall/playground aides, administrative assistants, health suite staff, custodians and maintenance personnel, bus drivers and monitors, cafeteria workers, school counselors and psychologists, and many, many more. Students in the Going Green Club learned about how to do a nature journal and visited Baderwood Park to practice at some recent meetings.




SRK Bingo is on Nov 19, 20, & 21! All students who have met the positive behavior expectations for term one will be invited to attend. While not everyone will win at bingo, we know all students will have a fun time with friends!

Thank you to our staff, students, families and community members who have contributed to our districtwide food drive thus far! Well over 800 items, from canned goods, to boxed foods, paper products, toiletries and baby care supplies have been donated directly to ASD families, as well as to community food pantries across our immediate area. The Administration Building's collection continues into next week if you would still like to contribute! #ASDProud




American Sign Language Club is meeting TODAY, November 12th, after school in room 136. We will be learning school vocabulary and how to ask questions. Hope to see you there!
Mrs. Deni’s middle school class took an exciting CBI trip to Burger King to practice real world skills. Before the trip, the students learned how to read a menu, create a budget and calculate the correct change for their meals. During the visit, everyone used perfect manners when ordering and interacting with the staff. The students enjoyed their meals and left no crumbs behind!

The AMS Best Buddies club made thankful trees at their November meeting. Students worked with their Buddy to talk about things they are thankful for and to create thankful trees. We are so thankful for our Best Buddies club!!





Congratulations to our Abington Senior High School Boys Varsity Soccer Team, who is heading to the PIAA State Semi-final Game today in Chambersburg, PA, against Seneca Valley High School! As this is a historic moment in Abington Athletics, our very own Abington Township Police Department will send them off this morning with a police escort that will travel from the high school, past Abington Middle School, and out to Susquehanna Road. Please join us in wishing best of luck to our soccer team!

During Tuesday's Professional Development Day, teachers at both the Middle School and Senior High collaborated to further develop Abington School District's Portrait of a Graduate, including how the skills and attributes will be infused into the curriculum for grades 6-12. The groups also rotated through a session on cultural proficiency.
