Mrs. Deni’s middle school class took an exciting CBI trip to Burger King to practice real world skills. Before the trip, the students learned how to read a menu, create a budget and calculate the correct change for their meals. During the visit, everyone used perfect manners when ordering and interacting with the staff. The students enjoyed their meals and left no crumbs behind!
Special shout out to the Burger King staff for their kindness 🤍

This week, secondary schools participated in Red Ribbon Week, a nationally recognized initiative promoting the choice to live a drug- and alcohol-free life. This year’s theme is “Life is a Puzzle, Solve It Drug Free.” Activities began on Monday, with students encouraged to wear red to demonstrate their commitment to making healthy choices and valuing their wellbeing, community, and future. Throughout the week, daily announcements at both secondary buildings highlighted the purpose of Red Ribbon Week, and included strategies for maintaining a safe, healthy, and drug-free lifestyle.
At the Middle School, the celebration included themed spirit days and a special Advisory activity in which students discussed their reasons for remaining drug-free. Featured spirit days included Twin Day and Color Your Life Drug Free Day.
At the Senior High, the AEVIDUM Club planted red tulip bulbs on campus during Lunch & Learn.

Saying no to drugs is easier with a friend. Did you know that many famous athletes, musicians, and actors choose to stay drug-free and encourage others to do the same? Simone Biles, Stephen Curry and Taylor Swift all focus on staying healthy, supporting staying disciplined and avoiding harmful substances. You don’t have to be an Olympic champion or a professional musician to find your natural high. Activities like listening to music, or laughing with friends release a chemical called dopamine, give us a natural high.
Think about what you enjoy and make an effort to spend some time doing it everyday! This will help you to naturally feel good while staying drug free.
Tomorrow, we are going to “Color your life drug free” by wearing bright, rainbow, or tie dye clothing.
