Overlook Elementary honored the life, legacy and call to action of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at an assembly that included a Zoom visit with author/historian Alice Faye Duncan, in addition to grade-level stories and songs, and the MLK Peace Award. AMS students recently took part in the Eastern Center for Arts and Technology’s virtual career expo, where they learned about the 16+ programs available to them in 11th and 12th grade. Current Eastern Tech students shared their projects, future goals, and the benefits of earning college credit and industry certifications while earning high school elective credits. Presenters also emphasized the importance of a record showing strong attendance and grades when applying. AMS students enjoyed a culinary arts demonstration and a live Q&A session allowing them to have their questions answered. #EasternCenter #ASDProud

REMINDER: Now through the end of March, everyone who shops at the GIANT on Susquehanna Road in Roslyn will be invited to round up at the register to support Feeding School Kids in ASD! Donations are used by the Student Services Department to purchase GIANT gift cards, which are distributed by our social workers directly to families in need in order to help supplement the cost of their groceries.

At the end of March, all round-up donations will be tallied and donated to Abington School District.
