#FlashbackFriday: To end the school year, Overlook held its annual Author’s Celebration for students in grades 1 and 2. Students created and illustrated stories to publish in a bound book, and shared their published stories in a small group setting, led by teachers and parent volunteers. #ASDProud #ASDReads





At Tuesday's meeting of the Board of School Directors, Dr. Fecher and Dr. Mowry recognized Ms. Selina Wu, the inaugural Student School Board Member, for serving in the role for the 2024-2025 school year.

To close out the 2024-2025 school year, Overlook held a new event, the "Prevent the Summer Slide Resource Fair" for K-2 students. Families received a free summer workbook and chose free books to read throughout the summer. The @abingtonlibrary was present to enroll families in their summer reading programs and provide information about virtual field trips and free museum days in the Philadelphia area. Students and guardians also had the opportunity to log into their i-Ready paths to continue learning over the summer. The night was a huge success! #ASDProud #ASDReads

The Quilting Club at @abingtonsrhigh worked through the final hours of the school year to sew 15 quilts for the Physical Therapy Department at @jeffersonhealthabington, which will be used in the rehab gym. Club sponsor Ms. Carmina Vanassche dropped the quilts off to the grateful staff last week! #ASDProud #ASDServiceLearning
