In honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day, students at Abington Senior High School will visit the Holocaust Awareness Museum and Education Center in Elkins Park today, where they will get to experience a new, immersive cattle car exhibit called "Hate Ends Now." The artwork of twenty-one ASHS students was on display in the recent PA State Education Association's "Touch the Future" exhibition held at Montgomery County Community College. For more than 15 consecutive years, the Abington Senior High School chess team has earned a spot in the 10 top of national competition, with this year being no different. In Chicago this past weekend, the U1200 division team, including Nicholas Young, Dareece Joyner, Joe Clark, Matan Fox and Doron Fox, finished in 7th place! We are #ASDProud!


On Friday, ASHS students Natalie Arcos, a representative on the Superintendent's Student Advisory Council, and Caitlyn Le, Student School Board Member, attended the MCIU Legislative Breakfast with Dr. Fecher and Board President, Dr. Melissa Mowry. Each year, the MCIU brings together legislators, school administrators, teachers, and education leaders to strengthen partnerships and discuss advocacy for public education. #ASDProud

Abington School District is currently seeking applicants for the 2026 ESY - Extended School Year Program. Positions include Teacher, Counselor, Speech Therapist, School Nurse, and Substitutes. Applicants must be available to work for the entire duration of the program, June 29 through July 30. Professional Staff hours are from 8 am to 12 pm, Monday through Thursday.
