Willow Hill Elementary School kicked off Black History Month with the annual tradition of participating in the National African American Read-In, where older students read to younger students and form a human reading chain from one end of the building to the other. AMS students recently took part in the Eastern Center for Arts and Technology’s virtual career expo, where they learned about the 16+ programs available to them in 11th and 12th grade. Current Eastern Tech students shared their projects, future goals, and the benefits of earning college credit and industry certifications while earning high school elective credits. Presenters also emphasized the importance of a record showing strong attendance and grades when applying.
