Congratulations to Mr. Garcia's class at Highland Elementary School, who were this year's winners of Coins for Kids, organized by the high school's AbingTHON group, which raises money for pediatric cancer-focused organizations in our area. Mr. Garcia's class raised more than $300 in honor of one of their classmates who is currently fighting their own battle against pediatric cancer at @childrensphila. As the class in the district who raised the most money, the students were treated to a pizza party, delivered by the high schoolers, who in turn were welcomed with handwritten cards and posters to hang in the gym during Friday's main AbingTHON event. #ASDProud #ASDServiceLearning
