ASHS Life Skills class goes fishing! The Life Skills class participates in weekly CBIs (community-based instruction) which supports vocational, independent living, and recreation and leisure opportunities. For our final CBI of the year, we went to Center Point Pond in Worcester, PA which allows hourly fishing. The pond is stocked with bass, sunnies, blue gills, and a few other fish. Through the generosity of the Muskies Incorporated Chapter 51, who donated six fishing rods and the kindness of Alex Jedlinski who took time off of work to give us some valuable fishing lessons, the afternoon was filled with fun, fishing and friendship! Merci bien and thank you so much to Ms. Menichelli and Ms. Mishel for coordinating, and to Mr. Walsh for technology support at last Thursday's AP and 8th grade French Collaborative Event! Our AP French scholars traveled across campus to AMS where they shared their perspectives on the benefits and joys of continuing French study all the way through AP French. Our AP students facilitated stations for the 8th graders to enjoy including French Jeopardy. Red Light Green Light, art from cultural Francophone landmarks, French Karaoke, reading French texts, and engaging in discussions about travel throughout the French-speaking world and about the differences and similarities between French and US schools. C'etait super cool pour tout! We are #AbingtonProud #ASHSProud #FirstinAcademics #C'esttrèsbon!

From Coach Brizzell of our girls flag football team:
Due to the rain, our Championship games have been rescheduled until tomorrow at 4:00 pm.
Lately, there has been a lot of attention to our starters, which is rightful deserved. As we going into the championship, I want to take a moment to recognize all the girls in the teams who are showing up to every practice, working hard to get our starters ready, and bring the positive energy to support every single person on the field. Each player on the Abington flag football team has a played a vital role in helping us to achieve our goal. Please make sure to congratulate each player in the success of our season. We would not be heading towards another State Championship without them.
