At last night's meeting of the Board of School Directors, the Teaching and Learning Department presented the 2024 Mathematics Achievement Awards, which recognize elementary and middle school students for their accomplishments in the Pennsylvania Statistics Poster Competition, the Mathematical Olympiads and the Continental Mathematics League Competition. We are grateful to receive more than $9,500 from @Giant as part of the 2024 #FeedingSchoolKids initiative! Every dollar contributed by local Giant shoppers will be used by our Student Services Department to purchase grocery giftcards for our families in need. #EliminatingHunger
Students had a great time viewing and sharing their science fair projects this week!
We are so proud of our Copper Beech "Girls on the Run" team! This special group participates in lessons to help them build self-confidence, kindness, and decision making skills. They are getting ready for their race, which will take place on May 4 at Montgomery County Community College. We welcome families and friends to come out and cheer them on!
Yesterday's solar eclipse was a rare educational opportunity for our K-5 elementary school students! Students and staff were able to view the celestial event, which will not occur in our area again until 2044. #ASDProud #ASDAcademics
Copper Beech students had a wonderful experience viewing the 2024 Solar Eclipse! First grade students learned about eclipses, took a virtual field trip to space, and created artwork showing the sun and moon.

REMINDER: The Abington School District team of home and school visitors is partnering with High Focus Treatment Centers to bring a Health & Wellness Fair to the Abington School District.
