
The third grade at Copper Beech had a vocabulary parade! The students dressed as different words and showed off their creative costumes to their kindergarten buddies. What a fun way to expand their vocabulary knowledge!











Copper Beech Kindergarten students did a special Earth Day activity. They worked hard to decorate paper bags for the local O'Neill's Food Market! What a great way to spread sunshine and celebrate the Earth!











The 28th Annual Abington Arts Fest, where students' creative works will be on display, will be held in the Administration Building gymnasium on Monday and Tuesday, April 14 and 15, from 1-6:30 pm. Come celebrate the #ArtsinASD with selected pieces from students in grades K-12!



Last week was the annual Literature Night at Copper Beech Elementary! Students and their families celebrated a love of reading by joining in activities themed to this year's One Story, One Book initiative: Knights vs. Dinosaurs by Matt Phelan. #ASDProud #ASDReads










April is Autism Awareness Month and CB celebrated with their annual Autism Awareness Event. Students and families spent the morning doing different dinosaur activities including matching games, scratch art, bubbles, and dancing.






CB celebrated Aide and Paraprofessional Appreciation Day on April 2. The aides were treated to breakfast while CB teachers took on their morning duties. We appreciate everything our support staff does for our school! #CBPROUD


CB celebrated One Story, One School with Literature Night on April 1st. The whole school read Knights Vs. Dinosaurs. It was a night full of books, activities, and fun. CB can't wait for author Matt Phelan to come back next week to share about his books!

On Friday night, Abington School District hosted the first-ever regional elementary Best Buddies event at Abington Senior High School. The event, to which Best Buddies chapters from across the region were invited, featured face-painting, a photo booth, sensory and coloring stations, a yoga session, and dancing for families in attendance. Students in Ms. Keaser's second grade class celebrated kindness week by making kindness themed posters to hang around Copper Beech!






Just in time for Read Across America Week, celebrated March 2-6, 2025, Abington School District Is launching a new poster campaign called “ASD Reads!”, designed to promote literacy and encourage a love of reading among students of all ages.
With more than 100 unique designs that will be displayed across the District’s 10 school buildings, bus garage and Administration Building, the poster artwork features staff members districtwide, including teachers, paraprofessionals, administrative assistants, bus drivers, custodians, administrators and more. School directors were also included in the campaign. All of the featured personnel were photographed holding their favorite book so that they can share this personal fun fact about themselves with students.
“ASD Reads!” posters will be displayed throughout each school, from libraries and cafeterias, to hallways and classrooms, beginning this week.
