Arts in ASD | To engage interested parents, secondary student representatives, and faculty from across curricular and extra-curricular content/activity areas, grade levels, and buildings in quarterly meetings to promote feedback regarding programming growth and development. |
Equity Committee | To bring District stakeholders of all levels together to provide feedback on equity initiatives in Abington Schools. The Committee meets to review priority areas for equity, which have ties to all departments within the District. In addition, committee members will explore efforts at both the School District and school building level in working toward the District's mission and vision. |
Positive Climate and Culture Dr. Robert Rosenthal, Director of Pupil Services Mr. Daniel Oldham, Principal of McKinley Elementary Mr. Joseph Tagliaferro, Supervisor of Student Services | To develop consistent, research-based practices to provide a positive school climate, bullying prevention, violence prevention, and crisis response. The charge is to review data (including disaggregated data), review best practices, examine current practices, and make recommendations that will ensure that our school district is providing the needed support, interventions, and district professional development to increase prosocial behavior, prevent disruptive behavior (including bullying behavior), and to appropriately address and respond to violence, crises, and disruptive behavior. |
