REMINDER: Today's Open House and Community Forum starts at 11 a.m. at Abington Middle School!

Willow Hill's 5th-grade students celebrated their D.A.R.E. graduation today. Three students were selected for their essays using the D.A.R.E. Decision Making Model, and how they plan to use what they have learned to make safe and responsible choices.
One student is selected as the recipient of Daren the Lion the mascot of D.A.R.E. each year, a student is selected to be the recipient of the DAREN lion. This student is selected based on their courage and strength to make the right choice, even when that is a difficult choice.
A special thanks to our D.A.R.E. officers, LaRossa, Stahl, and Gontowski

This Teacher Appreciation Week, we're saying Thank You to educators! From Monday, May 6, through Friday, May 10, recognize a special ASD teacher in your/your student's life by writing them a postcard of appreciation. Download, print or make a copy of the following Google slide, and handwrite or type in your message. Email it to CR@abington.k12.pa.us by the end of next week, and we will compile the messages to send to teachers. Please also include whether you're comfortable with having your message shared on social media. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1ZfyjRigBrl72Y8su2JTWmHoQPns_EeizWANCpl8KG2Q/edit?usp=sharing #ASDProud #OneASD #ThankATeacher

Science Enrichment club spent the last 8-plus weeks expanding their problem-solving skills and science vocabulary by building catapults, rockets, airplanes, and paper towers that were sturdy enough to hold up a one-pound can. Here are some photos of them working together on their paper towers.

Willow Hill students have been enjoying this beautiful weather! Even Dr. Jordan joined some students to play some 4 Square!

Yesterday's solar eclipse was a rare educational opportunity for our K-5 elementary school students! Students and staff were able to view the celestial event, which will not occur in our area again until 2044. #ASDProud #ASDAcademics

Happy Paraprofessional Appreciation Day to our paraeducators in Abington School District! Thank you for supporting our students and teachers. #ASDProud #OneASD

Today our kindergarten classes were given a gift from students in the Family Consumer Science course. The kindergartners drew a picture of their monster and then the eighth graders made the monsters come to life with buttons, felt, and sewing! We love them! THANK YOU!

Congratulations to all of our participants at last night's Reading Olympics held at Hatboro High School.

Willow Hill platinum card night!

Happy Pi Day!
Math enthusiasts around the world, celebrate Pi Day on 3/14— the first three digits of an infinite number with many practical uses.
Willow Hill celebrated it differently with the winning class from our 'soup"er bowl challenge being able to "pie" Mr. Tague (a 49ers fan), while Mr. Marinello ( a KC fan) watched with a smile!

Thank you to our Hawk retirees for sprucing up our garden today on this beautiful day!
