Additionally, this morning's breakfast was a chance to thank our many community partners in our area, as well as our first group of ASHS student interns! The ASHS Jazz Band, Orchestra, and Choirs traveled to Hershey Park on Friday, May 17, to compete in the annual Music in the Parks Festival. They also enjoyed a day at the park to celebrate the year's accomplishments. We are pleased to announce that all three ensembles earned first place in their respective categories, with ratings of excellent and superior. Additionally, Sophomore Winette Assaye was awarded "best student piano accompanist." We are so proud of our musicians at ASHS!

On Monday night, 5/13, the ASHS student-run A Cappella group, the Abingtones, put on an all a cappella concert in the black box theater. The house was packed and it was a huge success!

Congratulations to the Abington Senior High School chess team, who were honored at last night's Board meeting for competing in the United States Chess Federation’s High School Championship, where they placed second in their respective divisions. #ASDProud #AwardsofASD
Students in Mrs. Wolf's Music Tech 1 class recorded and produced their own podcasts. Students were responsible for creating intro and outro music, writing ad breaks, designing a storyboard, and recording 10 minutes of content on a chosen topic. Then, using Logic Pro software, they mixed all the pieces together into one finished product.
