KEY CLUB:

1) Attention all Key Clubbers: there are 4 service opportunities for the month of March! 1 = The Book Train is still running until Friday, March 28th: bring in 5 gently used books for 1 service hour to either room C140 or room C120. 2 = 3) On Saturday, March 29th, the Indoor Color Guard needs volunteers for their event here at school. Sign-up on the Key Club Google Classroom page to help volunteer or donate baked goods!

 

3) Key Club is still selling the results of the Matchomatics personality survey that was given out in Advisory on Wednesday, February 5th. Stop by Mrs. Peters room C140 with $5 to see who you are most (or least) compatible with! All proceeds benefit our Make-A-Wish kid, Joey!

SENIOR TRIP:  Class of 2025 Senior Trip will be on May 27th to Six Flags Great Adventure.  The cost of the trip is $75 for BOTH the ticket & transportation.  Cash/Check is due by March 28th in C202 or A208.  There are a limited number of spots.  Please check the Class of 2025 Google Classroom for more details.

M3 EVENT:

1)      M3 will hold the Modern Music Invitational on Saturday, March 22 from 11AM to 9PM. The event is open to any Abington School District student, and will feature masterclasses and clinics from musicians who recorded and toured with such acts as Beyonce, Janet Jackson, Lil Uzi Vert, Rob Thomas, Bacon Brothers, Lauren Hart, and more! Admission for Abington students is $10 for the day, which includes a keynote presentation, and $5 for those only attending the concert. The concert will feature bands from schools in PA and NJ. If we manage to sell 500 tickets, the students of M3 will shave Mr. Longwill's head to close out the concert day! SERVICE LEARNING AWARDS:  If you would like to apply for a service award for the 2024-2025 school year, please visit the Service Learning Awards webpage and click on the link for your school’s application form.  The window for applications will be open from March 30-May 1.  No paper copies will be accepted. CAREER CHATTER:  TODAY!  Wednesday, March 19th

Do you like learning about current events, or are you considering a career in communications ? If so, there will be a Career Chatter on Wednesday, March 19th during period 6 with journalist and Abington graduate Katie Katro. Katie will speak to students about what inspired her to go into journalism, and how this eventually led to her working for channel 6 action news. AEVIDUM:  Do you want to feel empowered to make a difference? Are you interested in mental health and spreading awareness?   If yes, Aevidum is for you. What is Aevidum?  Aevidum is a club that stands for empowerment, hope, and awareness. We help to make people feel accepted, connected, and cared about by doing small projects around the school to brighten people’s days and to spread awareness about mental health and substance abuse.
