NATIONAL ENGLISH HONOR SOCIETY:  Hello 10th-12th grade English-minded scholars!  Do you enjoy the written word?  Do you wish to join an organization that shares your passions for reading, writing, and literature?  If so, please consider applying to be a member of the National English Honor Society.  Applications are due TODAY, September 27.  To obtain a copy of the application, you can stop by Mr. Kulp's room (A135) or Mrs. Martin' room (A136).

PERFECT BLEND:  Stop by The Perfect Blend the week of September 23rd to September 27th to Go Gold for Pediatric Cancer! Starting Monday, we will be serving mango lemonade with a splash of lemon lime soda. All donations raised from drink sales will go to Mini-Thon who is helping two local charities, Shane's Future Days and Sara's Smiles.

JAZZ BAND PRETZEL SALE: The ASHS Jazz Band will be selling delicious soft
pretzels after school EVERY Wednesday. Pretzels are $1.00 and proceeds
support Jazz Band activities.

RED CROSS CLUB BLOOD DRIVE:  Interested in donating blood and earning service hours? How about a $10 Amazon gift card?  The Red Cross club is running its annual fall blood drive on October 31st.  The Red Cross club will be visiting junior and senior advisor rooms to recruit donors. You can sign up to donate outside Cafeteria C on Thursday and Friday. Students must be 17 to sign up.  16 year old students can donate with a parent permission form.  Sign up and save up to three lives!

GIRLS LACROSSE: Girls interested in trying out for the Girls Lacrosse team this spring should attend a meeting on Monday, September 30th at 3:15PM in Cafe C.  The meeting will be important, please plan to attend.

HISTORY CLUB:  The Abington Senior High School History Club will have its first meeting of the year during Learn 1 on Monday September 30 in room C119.  All students who are interested in history are welcome to attend.

FEMALE EMPOWERMENT CLUB:  The Female Empowerment Club of Abington is hosting its first meeting on Tuesday, October 1st during Learn 2 in room A205. The Google Classroom code is EZ53XC6. Come decorate posters and help spread awareness about women’s rights!

JEWISH STUDENT UNION:  The Jewish Student Union will be holding a Meeting for Peace on Monday, October. 7th, during Learn 1, in Room A131.  All are welcome to attend.

ABING THON:

1) Drench an Overall - AbingThon is hosting our first drench an overall event during Learn 1 today (Thursday 9/26) on the pool deck.  $1 for a cup, $5 for a bucket.

2) Gold Out Game - Please support AbingThon by purchasing a T-shirt for $15.  You can also buy a ticket to the game on Friday for an extra $5.

All of our cash proceeds go to Shane's Future Days and Sara's Smiles, two local organizations helping families affected by pediatric cancer.

ABINGTON BUDDIES CLUB:  The Abington Buddies Club will be having their first meeting on Wednesday, October 2nd at 2:45 in Section C of the Library.  Please join us for a fun way to end the day, a great chance to make new friends, and a way to support inclusivity and diversity at Abington Senior High School.  Service Learning hours are awarded for participation.  If you need curb-to-curb transportation arranged please be sure to get a sign-up sheet from Mrs. Jedlinski in room A151.
