KEY CLUB:

1) Attention all Key Club BOARD MEMBERS & OFFICERS only: our board meetings will take place September 24th during Lunch & Learn 1 in Mrs. Peters room C140. Bring your lunch if you want! 

2) Attention all students: if you are in need of some service hours to kick off the school year, Key Club is offering quite a couple of opportunities this month. Be a tour guide touring the Class of 1974 around our building on Saturday, September 21st at 10am. There is another tour for the Classes of 1977, 1978, 1979 on Friday, September 27th at 4pm. And lastly the Back to School Night program needs volunteers to help guide parents and guardians on Thursday, September 26th at 6pm. BuildOn:  Are you looking to make a difference? Do you want to help break the cycle of poverty?  BuildOn will be hosting an interest meeting in Ms. Lips's room (C220) during Learn 1 on Thursday, September 19th. ABING THON:  AbingThon is hosting a dine-and-donate at Crumbl Cookies on the Fairway on Wednesday, September 18th from 6:00 - 9:00 pm.  15% of the profits will go towards two local charities, Shane's Future Days and Sara's Smiles.

SCIENCE OLYMPIAD:  The Science Olympiad Team will be hosting a bake sale fundraiser outside Cafeteria A after school on Friday and Tuesday. Science Olympiad is a series of team and individual science-based competitions, and is open to students of all grades! If you're curious about joining, the first general interest meeting will be Friday the 20th during Learn 1 in room C248. We hope to see you there!

YOUNG DEMOCRATS:  The Young Democrats will meet in Room C-147 during Learn 2 on Thursday, 9/25 to discuss plans for the year and how to register young voters in preparation for the 2024 election. BOYS SOCCER:  Abington Boy’s Soccer is celebrating the 100 year anniversary of the program on Thursday evening for their game against Springfield. There have been only four coaches in school history and our current coach Mr. Garber is the longest standing coach having just marked his 30th year as head coach last season. The game will take place at 7:00pm this Thursday September 19th in the stadium. Abington Boy’s Soccer Alumni will be playing in an Alumni game, before the game, at 5:30pm so don’t forget to show up early! T-Shirts will be sold for $20 down in the gym area this week and next week to commemorate the anniversary. Please see Mr. Garber or Mr. Pitkow if you are interested in buying a T-Shirt.
