Pursuant to yesterday’s snow day, the midterm exam schedule for ASHS will be adjusted. Friday, January 19th will now be a regularly scheduled day of classes. Midterm exams will commence on Monday, January 22nd, with the schedule as follows:

As noted in our prior correspondence regarding midterms, I share with you the following:
Lunch: Lunch will be provided to students during two 45 minute blocks. During these Lunch and Learn blocks, students will be able to have lunch, study for exams, and meet their teachers to study for exams, and complete assignments and projects. During this time, teachers will have lunch one block and will assist students in preparing for midterm exams and completing assignments during the other block.
Student Schedules: Students will attend all midterm exams during their assigned class periods. When not participating in exams, students have the option of utilizing 4 areas for quiet study time. Those areas are: 1) Global Studies Center, 2) Think Tank on the 1st Floor, 3) Cafeteria B, and 4) Library. Students also have the option to participate in late arrival or early dismissal if they do not have an exam during the first or last exam period.
Transportation: Regular bus schedules will be followed for arrival and dismissal. We have also added a mid-day bus run from school at 12:00 p.m. for students who do not have an exam during the third exam block on the first and second days of exams. On day 3 of exams, a 12:00 p.m. bus run will also occur. For students who do not have a first block exam, we have added a bus run to accommodate them. The bus run for these students will arrive at their normal stop 4-1/2 hours after the typical morning bus time.
Thursday and Friday, January 25-26, will be designated as exam review days in major classes. The second semester will start as scheduled on Friday, January 26th.
