The Hall of Fame Committee and the Abington Senior High School Alumni Association also honored two distinguished alumni posthumously:

These inductees join dozens of other notable Abington Senior High School alumni from the past century, including engineer and founder of Bose Corporation, Amar Bose (1947); physicist and activist, Ellery Schempp (1958); actress and Fifth Dimension singer, Florence LaRue (1960); CEO and co-founder of Blackstone, Stephen A. Schwarzman (1965); former Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter (1972); CEO of AMC Theatres Adam Aron (1972); legendary comedian and sitcom actor, Bob Saget (1974); chef and founder of the critically acclaimed Vetri Cucina, Marc Vetri (1985); Kairos founder, Brian Brackeen (1996); and two-time Olympic gold medalist, Susan Francia (2000).

Every four years (with the exception of an interruption during the pandemic), the Alumni Association, in partnership with Committee members at the high school, open a call for nominations, during which alumni, current or former employees, students and the broader community can nominate a graduate for consideration. Nominees should have distinguished themselves in their respective fields of personal and professional endeavors.

The Abington Senior High School Hall of Fame was inaugurated in 1988 at the Abington School District Centennial Celebration. It aims to not only honor these exceptional graduates, but to provide the current generation of students with vibrant examples of alumni who have benefited from an Abington School District education.

In conjunction with the induction ceremony, many of the new Hall of Fame members also give back to the current classes of Abington Senior High School students by speaking to groups during career chatters held in different sessions at the school library. In these sessions, the alumni talk about their paths to how they got where they are today, including their educational backgrounds and any challenges they encountered along the way.
