Description
TADA (Teens Against Drugs and Alcohol) is a group of Anti- Drug teens at Abington Middle School. This year we have over 550 members in our group. This is the largest organization in the school. The emphasis of the group is on providing clean and fun drug-free activities and allowing the members to make friends with other students who are also drug-free.
Every member must sign a pledge form, promising to stay away from cigarettes, alcohol, and all other drugs.
We have at least one activity per month on Friday nights. Some of our activities include:
Bowling Trip
Movie Night
Trips to Beat Street
Karaoke Dance
Unique Entertainment Game Show
Unique Entertainment Board Game
TADA Games: 200 of our members are broken into teams and participate after school in athletic activities for two weeks in June. This provides students with an extra-curricular activity after school sports are over.
Most TADA members also participate in sports and are in other clubs. Being in TADA does not preclude the students from being in other activities. Participation in other activities is encouraged, and our students get “points” for their participation. TADA is a wonderful way for students to make friendships that will last a lifetime.
